Jojoba oil naturally has a VERY high vitamin E content and is actually considered a liquid wax by scientists, rather than as an oil, because it naturally consists of 98% wax. It is high in antioxidants which protects skin cells against damage and has anti inflammatory properties too, which assists in treating eczema, psoriasis, acne, and dry, flaky skin. Jojoba oil helps restore a healthy skin barrier by dissolving cracked and flaky skin layers, and replacing them with new, healthy layers. Jojoba oil can help clear blackheads and whiteheads, prevent the growth of certain infection-causing bacteria, and help prevent scars. Jojoba oil is a great moisturiser and perfect for aging skin as it not only softens the skin, but improves the skin’s elasticity - resulting in fewer fine lines and wrinkles, and a smoother appearance. Due to its high vitamin E content, jojoba oil allows one’s skin to better absorb the products applied to it leaving your skin properly hydrated and moisturised, without being clogged. For hair, jojoba is a great assist with split-ends and frizz. It is also a great source of vitamins and minerals to our hair follicles, which helps maintain our hair health and helps keep our scalp healthy, regulated and nourished.

Castor oil helps smooth out skin tone, plump up fine lines, and strengthen the skin. Castor oil can increase the healing response of the skin, which makes it perfect for acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, hyperpigmentation and a number of other skin ailments and conditions, as well as bites, sores, inflammation, and for reducing redness. Castor oil can also send lymphocytes to an area to help with lymphatic drainage. Castor oil has been shown to reduce the melanin level in the skin as well as improve the laxity of the skin, which makes it an ideal treatment for dark under eye circles and for making the skin under the eyes stronger and more resistant to the effects of time. For hair, it’s a very effective moisturiser and great for dandruff control. Also highly praised for its hair growth boosting abilities.
